MY FAVORITE ESSENTIAL OILS

My Favorite Essential Oils are: Eucalyptus is an anti-bacterial oil known for it's healing properties. Great essential oil to mix with a carrier oil like coconut or olive oil to make a vapor rub. When used in the hair care regimen, eucalyptus oil stimulates the scalp, helps with dandruff and helps keep the scalp healthy. Ginger is a warming essential oil. Great for colds. The Chinese like to use ginger essential oil for those suffering with hair loss. I love it because it's a scalp stimulator. Lavender essential oil is one of my favorites because of it many healing benefits. It has has anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial, and anti fungal properties. It is also a very calming oil. Lavender tones the skin and prevents scaring. Great for insect bites. When it comes to hair care, lavender oil helps simulates the follicles and balance oily and dry scalps. Lemongrass essential oil is another one of my favorites. It is high in anti bacterial, antiseptic, healing and soothing properties. In hair care it increases fullness and body. It add a nice sheen to dull hair. Some herbalists believe that lemongrass oil can strengthen the hair follicles, another benefit for those suffering from thinning or weak hair. Peppermint has a nice cooling affect due to the menthol. Inhaling peppermint oil or rubbing it on the temples helps soothe headaches and congestion. In hair care the peppermint essential oil promotes blood circulation. Rosemary is known for relieving muscle aches and minimizing eczema. Rosemary is a good essential oil for thinning hair and dandruff. It encourages the growth of strong healthy hair by improving blood flow to the scalp. Sage essential oil has astringent and antiseptic properties. It stimulates hair growth and helps decrease hair loss. Tea tree oil seems to be good for a lot of things. I like to use it when I feel a pimple or break out coming along -especially during that time of the month. It helps to stop the pimple in its track. When used in hair care, tea tree oil is used for dry scalp, oily hair, dandruff and itchiness. Tea tree oil removes build-up on the scalp and helps rejuvenate dull lifeless hair, leaving hair soft, clean and manageable. Ylang Ylang ylang ylang is known to be a hair rejuvenator. It stimulates the scalp and it is believed to stimulate hair growth. It helps balance the production of sebum making it good for all hair types. ~tj #texturemenaturaltips
